The New Points System Works Like This

For the first 26 races the whole field of drivers races for points.  Who ever is in the top ten after those 26 races is then locked in to the tope ten.  At this point no one can enter or leave the top ten.  Nascar then erases those drivers in the top tens points.  Then those top ten drivers race it out till the final race of the year in Homestead.  This proposed points system will no longer reward consistency which is what Matt Kenseth the 2003 Champion showed so much of this year.
